Promoting the environment, economy and social well being: Groundwork Milwaukee and Milwaukee Community Service Corps partnered with Layton Boulevard Neighbors West Inc. (LBNW) to build a rain garden at 35th & National, adjacent to the parking lot of a commercial property LBNW is rehabbing. This rain garden provides natural landscaping that beautifies a spot while also keeping stormwater runoff on site that may otherwise contribute to a sewerage overflow. When the bakery slated for the adjacent building opens you will be able to buy a delicious Columbian bakery while checking a Stormwater Best Management Practice can be!
