Lynden Hill Green Team
Supervising a team of four teens hired through Neighborhood House with funding from the Mayor’s Summer Youth Hire project allowed many maintenance projects to be completed at Lynden Hill this summer. Lynden Hill, a full block of open space in Milwaukee’s inner city bounded by Juneau Avenue (on the south), McKinley Avenue (on the north) 22nd Street (on the east) and 23rd Street (on the west) provides green space, a cool breeze among mature trees and a place for children to play in the Midtown area of Milwaukee. Governor Doyle visited the team in early August to see their preparations for a prairie that will be planted on the site.
