Harambee Community Gardens
Leading the Green Initiative of the Harambee North Planning Committee in its first project to transform vacant lots into community gardens, we held events for community members to build frames for raised beds, and arranged for wood chips and topsoil to be delivered. Groundwork Milwaukee collaborated with Reclamation Food Society, Milwaukee Urban Gardens and community members in planting three vegetable gardens raised beds.
